Not only have they fallen in general, but a couple of weeks ago they fell to Tottenhm Hotspur 6-1.

Life is good.

And big money is flowing to other teams. I think they call it parity.

But only to a very few other teams I'm afraid Watcher.  We are a long way from parity; maybe we need a draft pick system.

Exactly.

On top of that, the EPL is only in week 8, and there are still 30 matches yet to play.

For example, Man City currently sits in 10th place, but they're only 6 points (two wins) out of first place. And while I'm rejoicing over Man U's lowly 14th place standing, they're only 8 points from the top of the table.

The big question right now is whether any of the "surprise" teams toward the top of the table can maintain their positions. ODK can speak to this with much more authority than I, but while Everton and Leicester look like solid teams (and I've long had a soft spot for James Rodriguez), but teams like Southampton and Aston Villa will have a very tough time maintaining their positions. Southampton's victories have all come against lower-table teams (and, for the record they lost to Spurs 5-2 back in late September).

The lack of fans may be diluting the home advantage somewhat.  It will be interesting to see if the perennial mid table teams do better because of it.  In top flight UK soccer the away fans are limited to 10% of the ticket allocation (this rises to 15% for the FA Cup), and segregated into remote parts of the stadium. How does this compare to American sports?

You may be right. After all, Spurs beat Man U 6-1 at Old Trafford.

(And no, I will never grow tired of mentioning that match.)

Have you seen the Amazon Prime series "All Or Nothing" about the Spurs 19/20 season?

For professional sports, most of the good seats are reserved for season ticket holders. One game tickets can be purchased by anyone, home fans or visiting fans, but their seats may be far from the action.

In soccer, I always liked to be high up in the stands so I could see the offensive plays develop and watch as the strikers sprint forward to accept passes from the midfielders.

Hope it isn't a spoiler, but I was disappointed to see that they didn't feature the Bayern Munich game  ;D
