The lack of fans may be diluting the home advantage somewhat.

You may be right. After all, Spurs beat Man U 6-1 at Old Trafford.

(And no, I will never grow tired of mentioning that match.)

Have you seen the Amazon Prime series "All Or Nothing" about the Spurs 19/20 season?

The lack of fans may be diluting the home advantage somewhat.  It will be interesting to see if the perennial mid table teams do better because of it.  In top flight UK soccer the away fans are limited to 10% of the ticket allocation (this rises to 15% for the FA Cup), and segregated into remote parts of the stadium. How does this compare to American sports?

For professional sports, most of the good seats are reserved for season ticket holders. One game tickets can be purchased by anyone, home fans or visiting fans, but their seats may be far from the action.

In soccer, I always liked to be high up in the stands so I could see the offensive plays develop and watch as the strikers sprint forward to accept passes from the midfielders.

Hope it isn't a spoiler, but I was disappointed to see that they didn't feature the Bayern Munich game  ;D

Overnight...and for at least five more days.

Liverpool won, but Spurs have the edge on goal differential.

I know where I'll be next Sunday at 11:30 am (EST).

Argentine great, Diego Maradona, passed away today at the age of 60. For those of us who saw him play for his native country against teams from West Germany and England, he was one of the best.

1986 - scored the worst goal in World Cup history - 4 minutes later, scored the best goal in World Cup history.

Was that the goal he scored using his hand?

Terry Fenwick was one of the defenders in the 1986 game.

The Chelsea - Tottenham match was pretty much what one would presume a match between the first and second place teams would be. Way to many passes, especially in the box, instead of shooting.

Sadly both teams seemed more intent on not losing than they did on winning.  Certainly not a match to entertain a neutral supporter.

Obi - the first half reminded my of how the Germans stall when they are leading in a match. Pass back and forth amongst the backs and midfielders. Tottenham knew if they had a draw they would still advance to 1st place.  Wasn't even a match of interest for a fan let alone neutral supporters.

One tiny correction: With a draw, Tottenham REMAINED in first place.

But I don't think that was on their minds. I think, as ODK put it, both teams were unwilling to take risks, and both were overly defensive.
