I wore a lot of orange yesterday for Tennessee playing in the SEC championship, and was going to repeat that today as they play Auburn for the championship.  But then I remembered this morning it’s St. Patrick’s Day, so I’ll limit myself to my U. Tennessee hat and the rest lime green.  Although in the past I have been contrary and wore orange on this day just to see if anyone objected.

I actually have fluorescent lime green socks I never wore, until today.  Black shoes with lime green laces, and lime green shirt and jacket will complete the outfit.  OK, I might wear pants too (jeans), but my underwear will be green.

Besides my affinity for the U. Of Tennessee orange, my grandfather graduated from Syracuse and brainwashed me to be an Orangeman fan.










And Tennessee lost to Auburn today for the SEC Championship.  Auburn’s colors are orange and blue, ironically the same as Syracuse’s.

In reality, oatmeal lace cookies are made with a much thinner batter. The result are gaps in the cookie that resembles lace. The cookie carmelizes and becomes a thin, delicate oatmeal confection, instead of the full, soft, and dense oatmeal cookie.

I usually go with wearing my orange Tennessee shirt and hat, but I’m also not a fashion guru.


Last night listening to some live music in a bar with everyone rather drunk and wearing all sorts of green for St Patrick’s Day, I pointed out to my Peruvian a woman wearing a dreadlocky thing on her head of green glowing tubes.  I then showed her a picture of the Predator on my phone, and she nearly fell off her stool laughing.  Then she kept restraining me from showing the woman too; seems she felt the woman might not find it as funny as we did.
