Monday July 8th

    National Chocolate with Almonds Day
    National Video Game Day
    National Math 2.0 Day
    National Scud Day
    International Town Crier Day

For some people every day is Video Game Day.  :emot_laughing:

I guess I'm sorta a Town Crier. Yay me!

National Scud Day?  Sounds like the name of the bombs used during Desert Storm.  8)

I can't find any definition of 'scud' that's worth celebrating.  I'm at a loss...

Maybe he meant 'scrum' and mis-typed it?

Thanks Remmy...now we have one less thing to ponder and worry about. :emot_laughing:

BTW...The comics are about the only thing I pay attention to in the newspaper. They're the only thing in the whole damn thing that actually make sense. :emot_weird:

Not quite. What is Nunavit Day in Canada?  Or, is it a shortened version on "none of it"? ;D

July 9th used to be National No Bra Day, but they moved it to October 13th a few years ago.  You get better pokies in the fall than in summer, I suppose...

Clerihew, can't even pronounce that in my head.
Pina Colada -bleh
Kittens - pet dander
Teddy Bear picnic - he just stares at me
Don't Step On a Bee day - that I can get behind.

Eh?  ;D

Pretty soon bees will be on the endangered species list because of destruction of plants that they are drawn to and also the over use of herbicides.

A clerihew (/ˈklɛrɪhjuː/) is a whimsical, four-line biographical poem invented by Edmund Clerihew Bentley. The first line is the name of the poem's subject, usually a famous person put in an absurd light, or revealing something unknown or spurious about them.

“I quite realised” said Columbus,
“That the Earth was not a rhombus
But I am a little annoyed
To find it an oblate spheroid”

Many years ago I entered a clerihew contest. My entry was in the "dead people" category, and I won third place with:

Charles Dickens, it's said
Enjoyed a drink before bed
His nightly martini he never missed
With an olive or twist.
