"...What poll was that?  A Faux News poll?..."

The poll showing 60% approve of President Trump, and handling the Corona Virus Crisis was one by Gallup, Lois.  I believe it was released on the same day the Senate voted to approve the Senate Bill for Phase3, recently.

Just got an alert about needing healthcare workers to sign up. My family has already contributed two people to the cause.

Interesting, I could not find that poll.

Dr. Birx predicts 200,000 U.S. coronavirus deaths “if we do things almost perfectly.”  And when have we ever done that?

"I think in some of the metro areas we were late in getting people to follow the 15-day guidelines," the White House coronavirus response coordinator said on "TODAY."

Here's a mention of the Gallup Poll, Trump at 60%:

Enjoy.

I think throwing out numbers like that just causes more undo fear and stress. Publishing the daily numbers of new cases and deaths from the virus, per state or by country, is sufficient enough without going into speculation.

We're not planning on sending the kids back to school.

No trips to Canada or New York this Summer. We're going to spend the summer at my grandparents place like last year. Oh well. The kids had an awesome time there last year, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, all kinds of stuff. It'll be great. And by then this should all have fizzled out. By September it's back to school and time to carve pumpkins.  ;D

CJ is trying to be optimistic.

Those are actually conservative numbers.  The ones I’ve seen are actually much worse.  April is going to be an apex month...

Kids in our neighborhood are all outside playing. It hits the 70s next week. My kids want to go to the park. This is not going to fucking work much longer. People are sick of winter and being inside.

The longer it takes for every state to go into a stay at home scenario, the longer this will drag out.   Get ahead of the game instead of letting your state suddenly get hit with it and then put your stay at home orders in place.   Every body at once.    Right now, only 30 states are doing it.  Florida starts tomorrow.

They’ve extended our schools’ closings to May 4.  Graduation was scheduled for May 22, so I think the state is going to have to give the kids a gimme this year.  The STAARS exams, required for advancement in Texas, have all been cancelled.  And they can’t make seniors, who have accepted college offers, repeat a grade, can they? It’s a Mongolian cluster fuck for sure.

Dow slumps 900 points after Trump warns of 'painful' times to come and a 'shocking' coronavirus death toll

Every time he opens his mouth, the market slumps.  You would think he’s have learned by now.  Let Dr. Fauci have the microphone.

In other news... Bloomberg reports that the Trump administration has received classified reports from U.S. intelligence officials that charge China has been underreporting both cases and deaths caused by Covid-19.  You think so?  Holy shit, I am surprised!  You mean China hasn’t been honest?  LOL.

Our school might shut until September.

All exam grades are going to be teacher-assessed, with families being given the chance to appeal grades they don't like, or possibly opting to sit an exam in September or October.

I have 13 online classes, with maybe 15 kids in all actively engaged in their work...
