And for golfers in Illinois, beginning June 1st, the governor said foursomes will now be allowed, not just twosomes as it is now.

Chirp, good news for you. Finally.

We'll see. Doesn't guarantee either business or laid off employees will be willing to come back to work.

Minnesota is taking gradual steps to reopen.  Monday, retail stores were allowed to open. Restriction was that only 50 percent of capacity allowed in the store. Social distancing must be observed. Employees should be masked and gloved.

June 1st is the day restaurants may reopen, sorta. Only outside dining will be allowed, no inside seating. Reservations must be made and only parties of 4 seated. A family of six will be allowed to sit together. As expected the restaurants with little or no outdoor seating are, well, taking it in the seat.

C-19 cases, including deaths continue to rise with most deaths occurring in nursing homes. An move by the state, makes me wonder if we're not being told everything.  Minnesota just purchased an abandoned warehouse of a produce company for cold storage.  Cost a little over 5 million dollars with another million to do some upgrades. It's to be used for storage of bodies and funerals are running behind due to restrictions. It can hold over 5000 bodies. Not a good sign of things to come as restrictions ease.

[tongue in cheek]

COVID 19 FACTS

(I know these are all true because I read them on the internet  ;))

The virus can travel up to 6-feet, but cannot travel 6-feet-1-inch or more.

It can live on all surfaces except anything delivered by Amazon.

It does not live in Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes or any grocery store.

It is only deadly if you contract it in bars, restaurants, small businesses, hair salons and especially churches.

It cannot live on your food as long as you get it to go.

Very good points Purple...was a great morning eye opener.

Also in the same vein, recent protesters in Michigan gathered in a large group and I haven't heard of mass infections yet. It should be noted that many were armed with "assault type" rifles.  Is it possible the virus will avoid well armed people? :D Let's hope not, there's just too many who should not be allowed to have guns.

I saw a something on Georgia which has re-opened for the most part.  It seems most people are still staying home and people are not getting rehired to their old jobs, most likely because people are staying home.

Great post!

I just saw something on CNN where Trump has decided that Churches are "essential services," and that they should all re-open starting this weekend.

Here are his exact words:

"Today I’m identifying houses of worship — churches, synagogues, and mosques — as essential places that provide essential services. Governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important essential places of faith to open right now, for this weekend.”

He also said something about "overriding" any governor's decision not to reopen houses of worship. I'm not a Constitutional scholar, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing that gives the president the personal power to override the decision of state governors.

I guess a little change in verbiage will keep the virus out of houses of worship.

No surprise here, but it's now official.  Our Minnesota State Fair is cancelled for this year. Last year's fair set a record with a bit over 2 million people during the twelve days of the fair.

I have pictures showing the streets packed with a mass of bodies shoulder to shoulder. I was going to post one once, but remembered there's lot's of little kids in the pictures. (Haven't seen the lady sheriff much. Maybe.....) Naw, she's somewhere.

State Fair general manager Jerry Hammer said it wasn’t a difficult decision.
“It’s the only decision. It’s the right thing to do,” Hammer said.

The State Fair that dates back before the Civil War has now been cancelled for the 6th time in it's history. In 1946, the fair was cancelled due to the Polio epidemic.

Does the fact that some citizens are carrying firearms openly break the law?

If not, why not? Could be because those Citizens have a right to bear arms! Is that a problem for you?

How does The LAW define a supposed "assault rifle" which is not being used at the moment in an assault?

Do legal firearms look "scarey" to you; and therefore Citizens rights should be abridged for that reason?

Should Citizens be required to carry pink AR15 firearms, to satisfy your fear of 'scarey looking' legal to carry firearms?

Georgia church reopens, quickly closes again, after several families get coronavirus.

Mississippi church fighting coronavirus restrictions burned to the ground.

Quote
"Bet you stay home now you hypokrits" was written in parking lot at church that had sued the city over its public health orders.

Joan, the topic was just a light hearted, tongue in cheek remarks.
Yes, Michigan protesters had the right to bear arms. As their large gathering was a danger to them due to Covid 19, I jokingly wondered if they thought the guns would protect 'em from the virus. :D

Any other jokes you'd like me to explain? :D

If they come with IV bags and a needle it's medical grade.

Otherwise just ordinary bleach for cleaning and disinfectant...or creating blondes.

Your answer can be found by reading what the arsonists spray painted on the ground in front of the church:

"Bet you stay home now you hypokrits."

Only a Trump supporter could produce spelling as horrifying as that.

P.S. No word on whether or not the arsonists were armed...

The arsonist was probly armed with a whistle and safe place.
