3 pair gone.  2 crews working and got them all done pretty quick.  The actual surgery usually only takes 20-30 minutes depending on the dog.  They were still pretty young so was quick.  Almost takes longer to prep them then the actual surgery. Taking a break and then we spay the girl.  That takes at least half hour.

Wish people would stop panicking about their pets and this virus.  We ourselves are still learning about the affects to cats and dogs.  Dont rush your dog to the vet because it sneezes.  Two people brought their dogs in today for emergency checkups because they thought their pets had the virus.

Has the dog had been outside a lot? Nope.

Anybody who appear sick pet them or go near them?  Nope. 

Anything else other than sneezing? Nope.
 

We took the swabs anyways and we boarded one of them.  Shes such a sweetheart but it's completely unnecessary.  Told them to follow the same rules they are following.  Keep them at home avoid other pets and until we know more keep them out of dog parks.

Word out of Hong Kong that a dog tested positive for Covid19.  No kissing dogs on the lips!

  I believe I saw posted at KB that World Health Organization determined dogs are not capable of 'catching' the C Virus19.

The dog had tested "weak positive" meaning that the virus was on the swab, but had not technically infected the animal.  Like if a bug lands on you, you have it, but it isn't infecting you.  Plus one dog out of how many, vs how man people have contracted it.  The threat to animals is near zero

Our resident vet will be swabbing the KB family beginning Monday. Where on our bodies Shiela will be swabbing is another matter.....
