I know the rules state no content involving persons under thirteen and I have adjusted my work in progress accordingly. However, can I imply or state that a character had sex at a younger age without describing it? I have a character who had children at a young age. Would that still need to be so that she got pregnant after turning thirteen?

Yes.

Harry the point of of the “nothing under 13” rule is twofold. First, we’re trying to avoid criminal content that could result in problems for the website. Second, and perhaps more importantly in my mind, we don’t want to be a pedophile website. That means we don’t want to post content that will trigger the pedophilic element.  So, no photographs of underaged minors, no stories involving children, no discussions of “real life” sexual activity under the age of 18.  Violators will have their content removed.

It is frustrating that some members choose to test these limits, and come up with creative ways to post objectionable materials that are “technically” within the limits. So, “character development” not withstanding, we’re not going to make any exceptions, because the exceptions will quickly swallow the rules. I hope you understand.

I would not have expected that answer, ToeinH2O.

I'm glad the question was asked.

To be clear, if someone posted a news article that mentions a 12yo girl got pregnant, KB would ban the post?

DiscipleN, content which you may easily find in magazines at any local news stand or on any non-pornographic website is not allowed here.  Just deal with it.

This site had drifted towards being a pedophile site at a point in the past.  It had gotten bad enough that I knew I would leave unless something was done to stop it.  It was stopped.

Do posts get censored that should be considered harmless?  Yes, sometimes even my own posts.  I don’t object because I know what’s out there, and I know how cracking the door even a little can allow that putrid content to flood back in.  I don’t have any sympathy for those that ‘pine for the old days’ and try to slip things past.  I do have a great deal of sympathy for the moderators that have to deal with that shit.

Long standing policies began to have stricter enforcement September 1, 2019.  That said, we are still finding old content tucked away in many places.  If you see something that violates the rules, just click the “report to moderator” button in the lower right corner.

What happens more often, and ironically, is some newbie gets all excited and posts “That was hot!  Please post more!” on every thread mentioning a twelve year old he finds.  Moderators just follow him around, sweeping them into the cupboard.
