Fun. My neighbor is taking flamenco dancing lessons. Went to a recital a few months ago. Had a couple great guitarists providing the music.

Enjoy Nicky, rose between her teeth.

This morning Alexa was playing ,60s golf music for me. The second song played was Arlo Guthrie's long version of Alice's Restaurant. It's a little over 20 minutes long. A radio station here used to play it every Thanksgiving as that's when the song takes place. It's a fun listen.

I've listened to Alice's Restaurant at least once every year since I was in college and it still cracks me up every time. It's essentially a protest song about the draft during the Vietnam War that uses humor to make a point. Just thinking about the Group W bench is bringing a smile to my face as I type this. "And they all slid away from me on the bench."  :emot_laughing:

Another Arlo classic is called, The Last Guy. When people point out that there's always someone who has it worse than you, Arlo wants to know, "But what about the Last Guy?"

When I Googled this to find a Link I could post to KB I found out Arlo once did get a ticket for littering and it came up when he was drafted. He went on to create this song with an exaggerated story about the true event.

Is it any secret I love Taylor Swift?   Her 11th album released last night. M and I planned to listed together, so I was waiting for her to get home from her busy day, but she texted me and said she couldn't wait any longer and would it be okay if she listened for the first time with a friend.  I said of course.  But I'm making Dan listen.  He's currently flipping through a magazine not paying attention.  Oh well, just me and TS.

You might not know this, but I have a thing for Tom Brady (and Bill Clinton)

As I mentioned awhile back I'm a Senior Swiftie. I don't know that much about her music but what I hear on the radio I like. What I appreciate about her is her success.
She's banked a cool billion. Hard to say what she'll rake in  after every thing is totaled from the ERAs tour.

I worry about her and Travis.
I mean, she's a billionaire while he's only got about 50 million. Ok... he's got a few rings that might be worth a few bucks too. :D
Still I hope the best for them. If they do break there's probably another album in it for Ta Ta. :D

I saw a news article yesterday that Courtney Love said Taylor Swift is "not important." “She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”

This from a former heroin addict whose 15 minutes of fame ended 30 years ago. She also dissed Beyoncé and Lana del Rey.

Humm. Not important eh. How many other artists can say that their concerts generate as much money as having a Super Bowl in that city.

Certainly not Courtney. Her band was called Hole. She should crawl back into it. She’s mainly made a career of losing Nirvana money.
