Just curious... UA Members only?

I noticed that the UA Board is now Members only.  I just wondered when and why this step was taken.  Since becoming a member is so simple, I just find it sort of a head-scratcher.

UA, Incest, and Non-Consent are all hidden from 'public' viewing.  They are 'members only'.

They are not widely acceptable everywhere and we've decided to keep them "private" and out of the search engines spiders, making it less likely to get our forum flagged.

Given the current state of things, it's a very sensible decision.
There's an army of moralists out there policing the Web and reporting any content they find offensive. There are very few forums left for writers and readers who like stories with teenage characters.

Believe me, HistBuff, you're preaching to the choir here. When Ravishment University (our sister site) got taken down temporarily for the same reason, it was a pretty real risk to here as well. (Actually, just trying to remember, did we get taken down also, since we are on the same account? Can't remember anymore.) RU's rules were immediately changed to remove anything below 18. Privating that content here means...well, MJ already told you.

Yes. We were taken down. But the objections in Germany were to RU’s content, not ours. So we dodged the bullet (again).
