There are at least three or four threads already open about this topic. I suggest going to asstr.xyz. An archive.

If you go to our home page and scroll to the bottom, MJ has posted an explanation and links to the new archive site that is maintained by one of our members.  KB and the KAs are two separate organizations.

The most recent story is dated November 11, 2022.  Very surprised.  I hope asstr.xyz will stay in business. I’ve got so many links and bookmarks switched to that archive. 🙈🙈🙈

It's somewhat uncertain how ASSTR got back up.  The security certificate is funky, and there hasn't been a posting from any of the historical mods into assd or assm to explain things.

There's some discussion whether the site has been hacked.

Anyway, I'm annoyed that my folder is gone and I don't have the time right now to reconvert my master Word file to individual text files and upload them.

Well that's promising.  However, you can't get there by starting at the Authors link - my folder doesn't show up there.  And if I enter through the web site, I don't show up in the Authors list.  So if you don't know it's there, it is essentially invisible. 

It is a puzzlement.

Yes.   I'd prefer normal navigation getting there, but I'm glad of that much.

Hmmm, that was 90 stories at the time.  Then it won't take me nearly as long to get the next 35 converted from Word to text and put into that folder.  Once I get the current story (and maybe one more that's close) finished.

It would probably be a better idea to convert the master file into individual HTML files.  I'll have to think about it.

Well, in the meantime, some folks (okay, one motivated guy and a few writers) put together an alternate ASSTR follow-on.  Very small - a handful of people have posted there.  It hit me at the right time, and I put together a unitary HTML file with internal jump links so people can see my whole set of stories.  (Well, all except the two I've written after 2021.  I'll update it some day, honest I will!)

So everything's up there, even the one poem that websites block just over one freaking WORD!

I finished my last story in January of 2023.  I have partials and outlines and all that, but I don't know when I'll be in the right headspace to complete and post more.
