I think it is Purdue’s year. I like Alabama and Houston also, but it is Purdue’s to lose.

In the campground we are staying at, there are three couples from Alabama close to our campsite we have hung with each of them at the campfire. I can't help but root for them.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- — Fairleigh Dickinson brought down a giant.

Pulling off one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history, the undersized, underdog Knights stunned top-seeded Purdue 63-58 on Friday night, becoming the second No. 16 seed to win a game in March Madness.

The shortest of the 363 Division I teams in the country, the Knights (21-15) showed no fear in swarming 7-foot-4 All-America center Zach Edey from the start and simply outplayed the Big Ten champion Boilermakers (29-6).

Two days in and a number 1 seed, number 2 seed and a number 4 seed have fallen. (Purdue, Arizona and Virginia).

Should be an interesting weekend. Gonzaga's looking better all the time.

Anyone else following the women's tournament? It seems to be a little more predictable. So far.

Men's tournament is down to 2 number one seeds. Kansas is no longer attending the dance.

I spent almost 10 hours Saturday speed-watching 12 games of the women's tournament. How did I ever survive without a DVR?

I saw teams come back from a 16-point deficit, a 17-point deficit and an 18-point deficit and win their game.

It's a sweet Sunday for Michigan State (21-12) as the No. 7 seed Spartans upset No. 2 seed Marquette (29-7), 69-60, to advance to the Sweet 16. Go MJ!

A good game by MSU.   They gave it away at the end.  It's too bad.   I love watching the games.  This one I actually found myself biting my nails.  ick.  Old habit that I fall back on sometimes. 

All the newscasters on all the stations are wearing green today.  A lot of support from everyone, including Michigan fans.

Houston and Alabama both lost in Sweet 16 upsets. This will be the first time in tournament history than no #1 seed made it to the Elite 8.

In other news, Texas looking pretty good against Xavier tonight. 51-35 early in the 2nd period.

The West Coast Conference, the Mountain West and Conference USA are still alive. The Big Ten and SEC, which combined to earn 16 bids (that's 25% of the field) in the NCAA tournament, have both been eliminated. I think Gonzaga is still looking good.

Seven of the eight teams remaining in the men's tournament have never won a national basketball championship.

Two universities still have a team playing in both the men's and women's tournament, the University of Miami Hurricanes and University of Connecticut.

Boca is a favorite place to visit.

Texas, beat the hell out of Miami.

Texas is the highest rated seed left in the tournament.

Florida already has a team in the final four, which will be played in Houston.

Connecticut is a #4. Miami and SDSU are #5’s. FAU? A #9. This will be the lowest rated Final Four in the modern era. CBS must be thrilled.
