2:06 for me today.

1,5, and 7 across just jumped at me, except I had to check my spelling on 7.  I dont speak spanish and I thought eagles soared. But that wouldn't fit, but I couldnt get that out of my head.

2:24 for me. I'm more used to pen and paper. I'm no.good at navigating on a screen. More practice maybe. Or ten years younger and less arthritis.

I solved the 9/17/2023 New York Times Mini Crossword in 2:26!

No shame. A few of the clues escaped me, and I committed to SOARS for “flies like an eagle.”

I do speak Spanish, but children can have two different spellings depending on the gender. Niños for boy children. And Niñas for girl children. I had the same problem with the eagle.

0:32 for me.

I've read enough British novels to know that the spots on dice are "pips."

Took me over 4 mins :(

I could only remember the Spanish (possibly Catalan) for garlic mayonnaise which has an L as an additional second letter.

That and Thomas Paine intersected. Only thing that saved me, but I was hung up for a second or two.

I did it in 0:32.

But I still have no idea what "FOMO" means.

Fear of missing out. They now like to throw text message shorthande. I don't think that's a word IMHO.
