Interesting to see the different order in which people solve the connections puzzle. I assume everyone starts with the most obvious one (to them), and then clears the rest out in order of difficulty.

There was like 6 options for it. My first two misses were because of black not being black and black things not being in the black group

In Detroit, the heavily Polish district mass produces  Paczki'.  Basically filled donuts.  With apple, strawberry, you name it. 
Look up Paczki online and there is the description line :  When To Eat: Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday
