I like to eat uncooked potatoes. It started as a kid. My Granny would be putting supper together. I would complain that I was hungry. She offered a chunk of potato to help quell the hunger pangs. It worked. And even almost 60 years later, I still snag a couple of chunks when we are having potatoes with supper.

That is all.

Today is my grandmother’s birthday. I sure do miss her. She would be 119.

So tonight I cried. I've shed tears for Linda/Mint Julie after her stroke but tonight it was all about me. I was watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics. (We Tivo it because we can't stay awake)

I always get misty when the Star Spangled Banner is played. Tonight as the Mayor of Los Angeles accepted.the Olympic Flag for 2028 I realized there's a good chance I don't have another 4 years in me.

I've already pushed the envelope on what I was told about my life expectancy.

I've long realized that I will end up missing lots like friends, family, books, TV shows, movies etc. I've been accepting about this, but tonight the Olympics closing hit me like nothing else.

Ok, I'm better now. Thanks

So after posting the above post I was ok again
It was a case of everything hitting me at the same time. The end of the Olympics, thinking of Linda and her missing them, my health problems tho' I'm still doing on. Everything hit BAM at once.

Having the friends on this board that I can share what I was feeling is very helpful.

As someone reminded.me in a PM Linda has been my biggest cheerleader as well as others. I hope she'll be back soon so she can scold me when I start to feel sorry for my self

That little voice you hear, saying, "Don't beat yourself up..."

Listen to it.

We all have days when things seem to overwhelm us, but through the years, you've shown your amazing resiliency many, many times.

No one here will fault you for venting about such a day now and then, and I think I can speak for other KB members when I tell you that you have an online family that cares deeply about you, and supports you every step of the way.

And in case you haven't heard it today, let me just tell you something we all know... you're one of the good guys.  ;D
