Hello everyone!

Just wanted to say hi after being invited to this board by Gia1978. I published my first-ever story "They Grow Up So Fast" on the Leslita site this past Friday, and Gia thoughtfully linked to it here.

While I am a technical writer in "real life", I haven't touched fiction since I was in school and am still working my head around some long-disused concepts... such as plot lines and dialogue.

So far the response has been better than I would have expected... although I will admit that the flood of ideas coming in is making me second-guess just how to continue things!

It's still amazing to me that the fantasies that have been stuck in my head can also be erotic to others - it's not like I've been able to talk about this sort of thing with anyone in my life before.

Finally, I should note that I had originally planned on submitting my story to Kristen's Archive (which I've been visiting for many years), but then saw the notice that submissions were not being accepted.

Anyways, I hope I'll be able to contribute more soon. I began writing the second chapter over the weekend, but now I'm thinking of changing how I was handling things.

It's always nice to see more writers show up here. Welcome to the board.

You can still upload stories to KA, you just have to go through a certain link to get at it.

Welcome to Kristen's Board! Wow, you must be an animal lover to keep that many monkeys around... ;) We're always glad to have more writers on the site. It's been going too the tech geeks lately. We hope you'll take the time to look at the many topics of discussion and maybe join in, not to mention read and comment our own stories also if you like. Enjoy the site and thanks for joining KB!

Welcome to KB, 1000 Monkeys.  A friend of Gia's is always welcomed.  Good luck on your first writing of fiction since high school.

Welcome to KB. Hope you enjoy!

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

Wow, thanks. I can assure you that the monkeys are completely in my head, and are remarkably well trained.

However their 1000 typewriters are really starting to give me a headache...

As a 'writer,' perhaps the use of the English language would be helpful, instead  of this lazy and moronic 'text speak.'

Gee, I just don't know what to say to this.

The painfully proper overuse of punctuation and capitalizion leads me to believe you're actually serious, and yet I find it hard to believe that as the head honcho here you wouldn't have glanced at the previous posts in this thread to place my response in context.

Do we need a certain number of posts before we're allowed to have a sense of humor?

Thanks for the welcome.

I know it's hard to sense the true emotion behind words, especially when sarcasm or cleverness is in play, but I just can't see any sign of that. I tried.

Maybe there's some hidden code in the choice of font color that I'm as yet unaware of.

Pay no serious mind... Noddy (Grm, Boss Man, Sheriff or as I call him from time to time... Daddy) has a wicked sense of humor... and cyan has no mystical meaning in choice of color... I use lime green cause I think it's pretty and cool!

BTW - I got the joke and thought it was funny!

Over 10 monkeys have quit in protest.

They will be missed.
