Why are you spamming this thread with off topic posts.
I suppose you are all bored, and seeking an abundance of on topic posts?
Will see how we can satisfy.

No shortage of people killing people with guns.  “Good” is subjective.  The 6th Commandment is not.  Spam away.

https://www.wafb.com/2019/08/06/reports-shooting-walmart-burbank-drive/

Seems a person brandishing 'scissors' threatened another inside a WalMart.

The threatened citizen used his personal firearm to discourage the 'scissors nut', who fled the store.

Chaos ensued by shoppers, some of whom ran screaming from the store's front and rear entrances, reporting hearing gunshots, and who knows what else.

Police viewed videotapes, determined the citizen was defending himself, has legal Firearm Carry Permit, and has been released.

Various other claims, finding the 'nut' with scissors, and trying to sort out all the various witness statements and 911 calls seems to be continuing.

The citizen who defended himself was detained, until Police saw the videotapes,
and determined he was not an offender. It is not easy, being a law abiding citizen sometimes, and this citizen protected himself, stopped aggression by another, and was not harmed because he was prepared.

Sad how some panicked, and interesting how useless 'witness statements' were in this case, how seemingly no shots were fired, yet news reports followed initial 911 call reports about a shooting, seems someone saw the handgun, and ran screaming from the store.

One shopper was injured fleeing the store.

Lack of a Texan with a legal firearm in the El Paso Walmart, allowed that nutjob to shoot many, killing at least 22, just days prior. Police found that killer outside the store, after he was finished killing and shooting.

Imagine how that scene could have been different, with a trained armed citizen on scene, able to return fire after the first shot by the killer.

Seems WalMart should consider employing armed security at their stores,
as many other companies do routinely today. My local grocery stores, one a Harris Teeter store, the other a Giant store, each have Off Duty Police, as well as private armed security officers on hand, day and night.

A panic in a Walmart, where the store was evacuated?  No, that's pretty much to be expected.  Witness statements are pretty often useless, misleading, or conflicting when there's multiple witnesses, people panic when they're scared.  That's why people get trampled when you yell "Fire" in a crowded theater.  If you cry "He's Got a Gun!" in a Walmart, you have to expect that that croud is going to panic, and get some of the fact wrong.

Joan, there is another consideration on what may have transpired. Two in fact.

The concealed weapon person, drew his weapon and the shooter observed him or her doing so and then chose his primary victim.

The trained, confident carry  shopper observed the shooter using a weapon far superior and with greater capacity and thusly led the horde of people heading for the exit.

I'm just glad that nobody seems to have gotten hurt.  The CCW didn't become a shooter, there weren't any shots fired, which ciould only have made the panic, and police response worse.

As Athos likes to say, I think I'll just leave this here.

"Good Guys With Guns" Can Rarely Stop Mass Shootings, and Texas and Ohio Show Why

Some highlights from the article:

"It’s likely to make things worse if armed civilians intervene when shootings erupt in public places, says John Donohue, a Stanford Law School professor whose research has focused on gun violence and policy. “Unless you’re very well trained, you usually add more to the body count than you subtract,” Donohue says."

"The notion that a “good guy with a gun” can prevent a mass shooting gained traction after the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., when NRA then-Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said, “the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun” during a defiant press conference amid rising calls for gun control."

I definitely agree.  Without training, you're likely to just get shot, too.  A gun isn't enough, unless you know how to use it, and then when the cops do show up, they have 2 guys with guns to deal with.

Which one's the "Good guy?"

Exactly why if I spot a person with a firearm at Macy's or Kroger, I will drop my packages and leave as fast as possible. I am not going to wait to find out which is which.

Someone in that WalMart was going to be stabbed, threatened, maybe killed, but was about to have a very bad day.

"Go be crazy someplace else..." is the message the nut with scissors received, loud and clear, and somehow overcame his mental issue, long enough to run away.

WalMart has cameras everywhere, and will help ID the scissors assault guy, hopefully. People who did not get cut or stabbed should be thankful to the person who took on the mental 'scissors guy' and let him think straight, long enough to scram.

Wasn't it President Barrack H. Obama who told Democrats not to bring a blade to a gun fight? "If they bring a knife, we bring a gun" was close to the quote.

I am certain our resident '1408 Archivist' will look through the stacks, and let us all know, if I missed a word or comma, along with his usual 'cheerful' notes.

Was not exactly scissors, but close enough. Maybe BO's words resonated after all.

President Barrack H. Obama

Not sure who that guy is, the 44th President of the United States of America however was Barack H. Obama II.

https://foxbaltimore.com/news/local/armed-robber-critically-wounded-after-targeting-off-duty-officer-retired-officer

Two citizens in Baltimore, MD, dispatched a would be armed robber, when he demanded their money. Both citizens were Concealed Carry Permit holders. The robber was hit multiple times, fled the scene, and was found some distance away, transported by First Responders and pronounced dead at the hospital.

That robber will not be committing further armed assaults.

Still holding out hope that somehow, magically, all the guns out there will result in the killing sprees going away, instead of continuing to escalate, AND accellerate?

This last one got 2 killing sprees off, in 1 day, in fucking TEXAS.  This might be a surprise to you, but this is a gun state.  I talked to a "Good Guy" eating chili-cheese dogs with an SVD Dragunov leaned up against the table at a Sonic in Bellmeade, 5 years ago.

The attacks haven't been stopped, they're only getting more frequent, and more violent.  If guns aren't the problem, they sure as shit aren't the solution.

This is Texas:

Honestly, you're not going to find more guys, and gals with guns anywhere else, and yet where were they?  When a shooting spree took a break, made it to the next town, reloaded, and started all over again?

It's not working.

Thank you for the pics. I feel safer already...

Philly cell store robber will not be bothering anyone else, any time soon.

Same for the one who went mental when police pulled him over in TX.
At least no extended Trial, and Hospital Stay for that one, then sentenced to cost taxpayers many thousands per year, for a lifetime... far better to do the job at the scene of the crime...

  Once and done...

Yeah, but it isn't done.  It's getting worse.  Totally missed that looking at the gun porn pictures.

Have you ever even been shooting?
