;D  You remind me of my first wife!  LOL.

Little advice sugar, and this goes for all genders, no matter what your sexual preference....never ever tell somebody they remind you of your ex.  Makes one think, hmmmm that relationship didn't work out so if I remind them of their ex why bother?

While you're waiting in vain for that apology, why don't you make yourself useful by getting on your knees and opening your mouth

It depends on what additives you put in the coffee. My personal favourite add-ins are Kaluha or brandy.

And once, by mistake (I have a good excuse), red wine.  It was dark, I was half in the bag, I asked for some brandy for my coffee. It got put on the table next to my glass of wine. I grabbed the wrong glass.

No, I did not throw it out. I consumed it because wasting alcohol was not an acceptable outcome back then.

That is all.

I had a couple of spots of this at a Halloween party on Saturday night, and it was just the ticket...

Port wine with soda. Sounds blasphemous, but believe me its best refreshing alcohol combo. After night of drinking uncountable vodka shots with Russian friends, they literally shoved this combo on my face in morning, the port wine takes out my hangover while soda gives a refreshing high.

This is WAY better! And it's the way to drink good single malt Scotch.

Agreed. I can't fathom ruining a good scotch by dropping ice in it.

Red Bull and Vodka has proven to be a dangerous mixture around here this fall.
Two kids in the ER so far.  Apparently word hasn't gotten out about mixing Red Bull with alcohol.

My sister-in-law made me a "Pickle Back."

It's a shot of bourbon backed by a shot of pickle juice.

I do not recommend it.

I was a Rolling Rock, Blue Moon type of guy, until I started with Lone Star and PBR, saving loads of money. I have stopped drinking now, it never did anything for me, so I drink water and Pomegranate juice.

Is that not more down to consumption than the actual mix of the two drinks?

Not sure, but there have been warnings about energy drinks and alcohol being mixed together and problems associated with it ("the new high for kids").

It took me a week to find, and an arm and a leg to buy.  But it is mine... ALL mine... "My precious..."

Beautiful stuff, but its getting to be not worth the price anymore. I went into a store and was happily surprised to see it. When I asked how much, I was already cringing before the $550 came out of his mouth. Used to be that a store would get cut off for selling it for that kind of mark up.

I paid close to $1,000 for that bottle.  It was for a jerky boss that I am happy I no longer work with.  Possibly the worst career investment I ever made.

Van Winkle (any of them) are darn good but the hype has out priced their taste for me.  I know a liquor store owner who told me that years ago, he couldn't give Pappy away because nobody ever heard of it.  Then a couple of TV shows, most notably "Justified" gave them some kind of cult like following, and the burglary only helped that mystique.  I've had Pappy 23 two different times at $50/shot and while damn good, wouldn't make it a habit.  There are tons of great Kentucky whiskeys out there for under $100/bottle.  Currently I am drinking Blanton's, Col. E. H. Taylor and although I am not a fan of Beam, really like Booker's Small Barrel.

I agree completely.  This guy is one of the most pompous asshats I have ever encountered, and this is pretty much the only thing he would drink aboard his Gulfstream III.  Really wish I'd pissed in it first.

I am a bourbon man too.  I have had Had a few bottles of Pappy.  I agree, it is something that is much more ritual driven than flavor driven.  Anything that is that hard to get should be experienced.  It's definitely a celebratory drink only.

For every day bourbon intent to stay with Blantons.  It's pricey but affordable.  It's one of my favorites.   I drink bourbon only with ice.

For the money, there is a bourbon from Buffalo Trace (which I do not care for) called Elmer T Lee.  It is priced along the lines of Makers.  If you like bourbon and you see a bottle of this - buy it.  I have friends in a few states that have been given strict orders.   If you see it buy it for me.

I am also a Makers Mark ambassador.  I probably drink MM as my go to every day drink.  It's always good and high quality.

When I am not drinking whiskey, I drink red wines.  I try to drink a glass a day.  I like about all reds at different times.  My most recent favorite was a Cab Merlot from Greg Norman Estates.  It was very good and I will buy it again.  My favorite red of all time is Clos Du Vol.

There's nothing new about energy drinks mixed with vodka and they're not any more dangerous or interesting than each of the constituent parts. Never mind the scaremongering. I'm surprised a woman your age hasn't sampled their fair share, by the way.

Energy Drinks alone, yes I have, and to me they taste terrible.
Drinking Alcohol.....nope, I don't drink at all, never have, and again the stuff taste terrible, but then again so does coffee....I don't drink that either.
