X-files has turned cartoonish.

Then I guess you can relate to it, young Padawan ;-)

I've really been enjoying The X-Files revival, seasons ten and eleven. Many people complain about many of the episodes being unserious enough, but I don't mind the slightly black comedic episodes.
I will admit though, "The Struggle III" and last Wednesday's "Ghouli" stand out for me, and they were the most straight forward episodes this season. And they are linked as well, by William.
I'm about to watch last night's episode "Kitten" on Prime Time On Demand, and I'm looking forward to this one too. It's another serious episode, with Assistant Director Skinner disappearing. I can't wait to watch it. After I'll watch last night's Law & Order: SVU for the return of Jack McCoy.

I just watched the February 1st episode of MacGyver. Someone is out to kill Murdoc, and it turns out to be his former mentor, played by the original Murdoc, Michael Des Barres! All in all a top notch episode.

I never watched the original MacGyver, so that fact was lost to me when I watched that episode.  Thanks GG.  Makes what I saw more interesting.

I'm glad you watch the new MacGyver, but the original was different. Many aspects of the original series are here, but the original was a very different beast. This wants straight action, the original one MacGyver avoided confrontation when possible. They're both good shows for different reasons, you should see the original too if you can.

Doubt I'll go back in time.  We do watch too much TV and with streaming so many new shows keep popping up that look good to our weird tastes.  We love off the wall sci fi genres along with procedurals.

I do hope you try put at least on episode, especially a Murdoc episode. Michael Des Barres was so much better as Murdoc.

I'll have to see if I can find a Murdoc episode.  When I watched that episode I could tell by the way they introduced the character that it was to be a big surprise when who it was would be revealed.  Not having seen the original series it was a big "so what" for me.

Maybe Amazon is streaming it.

Michael Des Barres worked hard as Murdoc. He got killed every episode he was on!
