Mystik Dan is your winner of the 150th Kentucky Derby, winning in a photo finish by a hair over Sierra Leone and Forever Young. Mystik Dan entered the race with with 18-1 odds.

So is the winner a relative of Durango Dan? :emot_laughing: It was the Derby after all that our Mint Julie took her user name.

Just saying. :emot_kiss:

Was that a close race or what.   OMG

I don't research the horses like most bettors do. I go by the names.  How could I not choose Mystic Dan. After all, Dan it is the fictitious name for my husband here on KB.

I picked two other horses also. ForeverYoung because I am turning 50 in 2 months, and I forget the third horse.   $10 on each of them to win, through Dan's betting app, TVG.  His account balance on his app got a nice little boost.

.
You might not know this, but I have a thing for Tom Brady (and Bill Clinton)

Love that you can play the ponies on line. It would be a
Thrill to actually be there. The fancy dress of everyone almost rivals the running of the horses.

As Rod Stewart sung:

May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you

[Chorus]
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart, you'll always stay
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young

We watched about 5 hours worth of television to see a race that lasted 2 minutes.  But I enjoyed Mint Juleps all day and went to bed rather early.  Woodford Reserve was offering souvenir Mint Juleps in a gold plated, jewel encrusted, cup commemorating the 150th Run for the Roses. The price? $5,000.00. Jeezus.
