That link is an absolute goldmine. The collections that disappeared a couple of years ago are there and the last update was June 30. 2022.

And the Internet Archive is completely free. I use it so much that I donate a few dollars from time to time. I don't know where I'd be without it.  ;D

I will have a lot of favorite stories and materials bookmarked, so I like the backup copy site, because you can use the same ASSTR link that is bookmarked, and just substitute “XYZ” for “ORG.” Also modify the bookmark to do the same thing in the future.

Admin of asstr.xyz here. You may notice that .xyz is currently down - unfortunately, somebody reported it to my host, and they only allow an hour to investigate before they suspend the IP. That caused everything on the server to become unreachable, and since I host other services on the same box, I'm not going to risk hosting this kind of content on that server any more.

I've stood up a dedicated server on a different provider and I'm in the process of copying everything across, as soon as that's done the .xyz site will be back up. Hopefully today, more likely tomorrow depending on transfer speed.

Asstr.xyz is now up and responding (apologies for the delay, real life got in the way). There are a lot of dead links right now, however the copy is in progress in the background. If something isn't working now, give it a couple of hours and try again.

Has anyone actually managed to download the torrent? I'm not seeing any peers let alone seeds and, well, you would think there would at least be one ^ right? Kind of an empty gesture if nobody can download it.

look, im not a techno wiz kid. I made the torrent and put it out to seed. beyond that i am clueless. I left it running for DAYS, the port open and I even served it up on a silver platter. Empty gesture, hardly, I tried my best to help.
