Truly sad to hear of the passing of Charlie "the quiet Stone" Watts. That bastard cancer got him apparently.

He was 80 years old. And while you hate to hear about anybody dying, he has enjoyed what can only be described as a *very* full life. Memory eternal.

Love this anecdote from Wikipedia

One anecdote relates that in the mid-1980s, an intoxicated Jagger phoned Watts's hotel room in the middle of the night, asking, "Where's my drummer?" Watts reportedly got up, shaved, dressed in a suit, put on a tie and freshly shined shoes, descended the stairs, and punched Jagger in the face, saying: "Never call me your drummer again." He expressed regret for the incident in 2003, attributing his behaviour to alcohol.

Sorry .No offence meant . I have big respect for drummers . Anyone who can move their feet and hands independently and yet keep perfect rythmn and timing gets a big yahoo from me . Is it true that drummers make the best lovers I wonder??

A grandson is a very good drummer, he also has plenty of jokes about guitarists, e.g.
