To bed at 11pm, watched the news until I fell asleep.   4:45 am my eyes were wide open.   Kindle Time.    Came out to have a coffee in the family room at 5:35am.  Not tired, but I will be in about 4 hours.

I was up at 5 a.m. on Friday and drove 200 miles round trip to a hearing, so I fell asleep pretty early.  I woke up at 3 a.m. for an hour or two.  Back asleep for a few hours.  Then sexy time with wifey.  Great way to start the weekend.

Some stupid dog decided to start barking at 2:22am.
At 2:30, the owner of the dog started yelling at the dog to shut up.
Middle of the night, mind you.  Yelling out his window at his dog.  
About 2:45, I think they let the dog in their house.
And now, here it is 3:41am and I'm on the computer because I can't get back to sleep.

My Peruvian has left for work, and I can sleep 2 hours before I need to leave as well, except my own fucking dog won’t stop barking from her cage in the kitchen.  At least when I yell ‘SHUT UP!!!’ down the hall, my neighbors can’t hear me.

OK, trying again. . . . . maybe I can get an hour’s sleep.

I got no more.  Went to bed at 10:30pm, up at 2:20am.  Not quite 4 hours.   At least I got some wash done and the kitchen clean before getting in the shower and coming in to work an hour later.   I did get a lot done here in the last hour though with zero interruptions.

An owl woke me up about 2:05 pm.  WHO   Yes, an owl.

I live in the city but near some woods.   He must be right outside my window.   It's a very cool sound.   But not at 2 in the morning.   He went on and on for about 20 minutes.   Now I just can't get back to sleep.  1 hour 45 minutes later I am wide awake.   Read for an hour, then came out to the family room.  Thought sitting in a recliner I could maybe fall asleep.  Nope.  Wide awake.   WHO

They can be quite loud.  I’ve done a lot of backpacking/camping, so I’ve heard them often.  Regardless if I’m with someone or alone, I can’t help myself from replying, ‘Me, that’s who.’

And no staci, we will not be shooting owls.

A few years ago at my gun club’s winter party a stripper with an owl tattoo on her back was bouncing in my lap, and I yelled out ‘Ooouuww’ (as in ouch).  She stopped bouncing and looked back at me, ‘Huh?’  Whereupon I said, ‘There’s an owl on your back.’
