All of North Texas is under a tornado WATCH (conditions ripe for tornado) until after Midnight. There are already 4 active tornado WARNING zones (active or suspected tornadoes) to the East of Dallas, and it's building up backwards towards the Metroplex. More severe thunderstorms to the West headed towards town for more fun and games later on. Everything is building up rapidly at this point (7pm local time).
Update, an hour later: looks like the stuff to the East of town is staying there now, and the storm cells to the West will probably only hit the South side of the Metroplex (South of I-30). Unfortunately, I'm South of I-30, and I have a partially broken tree that'll give up the ghost and fall if it gets strong winds this evening. That'll smash my fence flat, as it's a couple of thousand pounds worth of tree. On the plus side: no new tornado warning zones in the last hour.
