The weather report shows a high pressure system sitting up in Canada, pushing the polar vortex South again.  So stay warm folks!

We’re going to be in the 60°’s this weekend, and low 70°’s all next week.  I’ll send a Thermos with soup to our northern neighbors.

First iced-up windscreen of the season.

Not serious, except it didn't actually freeze until I was on the move...

Here we are...one of the biggest travel time of the year. Thousands of families returning home after holiday visits.

What does Minnesota weather have in store for 'em? Glad you asked.  Pretty much a bit of everything, except good weather. Travelers will find rain, sleet with snow on top of that.

I have a couple inches now, waiting for me. I can expect about five inches before the storm clears and colder weather moves in.

70°s here.  60°s and 70°s predicted all week.  Welcome December.  I wore a scarf to the Winter Festival last night, and was sweating.  I took off my jacket when I sat down.  It felt like a sauna.

Rainy 8 hours here.
Lucky the temp was above freezing or we would have a huge mess of snow on our hands right now.

Light rain starts in a few hours, followed by "possible wintry mix" in the early morning.

Got our first snow in the DC area this morning (about 1 cm or 1/2 inch), not that you could tell considering the other deluge.

After a record setting string of five days of 50 degrees or above, setting records for Christmas Day and yesterday, plus it being sunny each of those days, reality set in and today we are cloudy and in the high 30s.

Starting tomorrow, we're told to expect rain, sleet and snow.
Messy, icey and just plain miserable. At least the mailman still promises not to be stayed from making his rounds.

Early morning rain froze as soon as it hit the ground. Streets and sidewalks all have a slick coat of ice. Numerous crashes on the roads of course. Even trying to drive safe is no guarantee you'll be safe. We're home streaming Outlander. Damn but Claire has nice tits.

Always fun here when Dallas has ice. Fools know ice is worse on bridges so will speed until approaching one, then throw on the brakes. Once saw one do circles, crash thru a chain link and wipe out a dog house.

Heavy rains during the night. At this time of year, that rain would mostly likely have been snow and we would have had a pretty fair amount of it now. Temps in the 50s. My kind of winter.

Our ice yesterday turned to rain. Ice roads thawed...after hundreds of accidents, including two fatalities.

Stuck my head out last night and listened to the rain. Could a been an early spring evening, except for the snow on the ground.

Like they say...if you don't like Minnesota weather just wait awhile... it'll change.

Son apparently turned on the AC yesterday.  So it was 65° in the house when I woke up.  A little too chilly.

After starting out the weekend with a killer ice storm... turning to December rain the next day, Sunday was shrouded in heavy fog in the morning with rest of the day dark and gloomy.

Today we're getting wet snow, maybe up to three inches.

At least we can't say we don't have variety up here.
