Met with the Urology Oncologist about my bladder cancer. Had a PET scan yesterday to see if there's any other cancer around my body.

Good news! I don't need surgery. Bad news cancer has spread to prostrate, lymph nodes and some bones. So too late for surgery. On to chemotherapy. Not looking forward to that and success is iffy.

Have an appointment mid December with the Oncology people. I can't say I'm upset. I'll be 76 in about a month and have had a fairly good life. Like many guys I'd been hoping for a quick heart attack while making love to a hot young 30 year old lady. :D

Stupid cancer.  Try to keep a positive attitude about it,  they are making great advances in fighting cancer so hopefully you will benefit from that.  My father has had two small bouts with cancer so far, one spot on his larynx and another on his nose.  He is a double lung transplant recipient and is doing well, he is almost 70 now.  Dont give up is the main thing, people love you and want you around for as long as possible.   Wish you strength and good luck... and maybe some hot nurses while being cared for ;D.

Love you, and there’s still time for that heart attack. Wishing you the best. My uncle is in a chronic cancer situation and has survived far longer than they told him he would. We talk every week. He won’t beat this, but he will settle for a tie when his time comes.

I'm sorry to hear that :'( For what it's worth, my uncle had a similar diagnosis (though it started in the prostate, then spread to lymph nodes and bones) about ten or eleven years ago, and he continued to live a fairly happy life until he passed from complications a few months ago. So there might still be plenty of time left for that heart attack  ;D

This is such terrible news, but the way you're taking this is simply amazing. I can't even imagine the whirlwind of emotions you must be feeling, but at least you have the wife there to kick you butt if you start feeling depressed, or bummed out.

We all love you here so you better not fucking go anywhere

I lost my sister who was my idol and my everything to cancer. I know many others in my life who have had a cancer diagnosis. The one common theme with them is that they were all fighters. My sister the biggest fighter of them all. I know you are too. You've got this, you've got us and your real life loved ones as your support. We're all in it together. One team. We'll fight like hell with you. Love you.

My grandfather died to prostate cancer. Sir, you have my sympathies. Even if you cant exit the stage with a younger woman, Just exit with the Tool in hand, and a bottle of JD. But I believe in my heart you will overcome this, and become even stronger.

I just want to make a brief update on my medical situation. Finally met with Oncologist yesterday, a month after finding out I have cancer in several places.

He confirmed what I was already pretty sure of. Stage 4 and incurable. With treatment, including chemo and radiation I could get a few more years. I'm going to give it a try, but if side effects get to be too much, I may opt out and accept the inevitable.

More time would be nice but not at the expense of even more suffering from the treatment than what the cancer does to me.

I don't want any of you not feel sorry for me. In a week I turn 76. I've had a great life and have few regrets. I don't feel I've left much undone.

I'll still be around KB, enjoying all the interactions with you.  :D :emot_kiss:

It would be about this time, I would be looking into and trying all black magic, voodoo, cajun, off the wall supposed cures. Green frog shit with melted strawberry ice cream, coca cola with piss from a Himalaya monkey, etc. Goggle is your friend Bob. I wish I had an uncle Percy that discovered a miracle solution.

No matter what, my thoughts and prayers and love are yours and don't leave till the dirt hits the casket.

The doctor just ordered daily cheese runs. Go for it.  8) 8)

Coca Cola  with piss from a Himalayan monkey? That doesn't work. You need Dr Pepper . And the monkey has to be a Male.  ;D

But seriously,  we here at KB are family so we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Nothing much has happened with my cancer situation. Everything has been stalled for weeks, waiting for a bone biopsy of the cancer on my pelvic bone.

Finally I got a call yesterday and it's scheduled for January 6th. Oncologist needs the biopsy to see where the cancer started, bladder or prostrate. Once he knows that he can recommend treatment.

It's already stage 4 and incurable. Treatment may give me a couple more years. I'll have to weigh that against what kind of quality of life the treatment would do to me.

Cost is another factor. Don't know how much a couple more years would mean if it uses up funds wife needs for her support. With me gone, that's half of our income once my Social Security ends.

Thankfully I lots of friends for support to get us through this. That includes my KB family. :D :emot_kiss:

I know CT. I'm staying positive, but then haven't had too much serious effects from the cancer. Can't pee, except by ramming a catheter up my "boy" several times a day. Guess that's serious, but it's amazing how soon you get used to something.

That’s true CT, it’s like twilight (the term, not the book.)
On one hand, it’s really sad to hear that.
No one deserves to undergo that…
On the other hand, how Mr. Msslave’s dealing with it, that’s inspirational.
Sir, your positive attitude is truly commendable, and lion-heartedness, comparable to Jack Sparrow.
