Never have I ever been a member of an organized political party.

Although, in today's world I suppose some Republicans could say the same thing.

As a former Republican who was actively involved in the party, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the above statement Purple.

I remember the pride I took at being a small.part of this country's two party system. As the religious right moved  in, I moved out. The Republicans to me, are just a dirty joke played on the American people.

I've never watched a single episode of The Simpsons.

I've seen clips and walked through a room where it was playing, but never sat down and watched a full episode while it was airing.

I have never watched the series “Friends”. A lot of people I know have but I never have. They make fun of me for it but just never have. Maybe one day

I hadn't either until very recently.

When it first came out I was 14, and people my age (high school freshmen) deemed it an old people's show. It aired its final episode in May 2004, and even though I was 23 at the time, the actors were in their late 30s and early 40s.

A couple of weeks ago I saw the series featured on one of my streaming services, and I watched two episodes. While that was enough for me, I can see how living in New York City for as long as I have makes me understand both the nature of the characters daily lives, and the gross improbability of some of their situations. And 14-year-old Barbara wouldn't have understood this at all.

In a weird way, it's kind of like Madonna for my generation. She's more than 20 years older than me, and she first rose to national prominence in the early 1980s "Like a Virgin" came out in 1984, when I was four years old. By the time people my age were coming into their own in terms of personal music choices, she was an "oldie," and she performed the type of music that "old people" listen to.

Those prejudices, of course, were silly, since music is music, no matter the age of the performer.

I never watched it until about 6 years ago, then saw all series over a couple of years. My daughter watched it as a teenager and I had assumed it was for her age group.

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

Same here. I find leopard spots disturbing. It could be some kind of evolutionary defence mechanism, with my brain hard-wired to associate the spots with a dangerous predator.

You are just a thought that someone, somewhere, somehow feels you should be here.

That would explain why Slavic women ADORE leopard and cheetah print everything. Nature’s way of warning the unwary Western male of a wild growler below.
