I forgot it was St Patrick's Day

I'M SO SAD.    I'm wearing black pants and a red top.      :'(

If it makes you feel better Jules, I was researching Leprechauns yesterday, and found out they used to considered to dress all in red.

Only if you are Catholic should you be wearing green.  Orange would be the color to wear otherwise if you are Christian.

Catholic has nothing to do with it! Everybody wears green for St. Patrick's Day!

A lonely night at home.  An empty house.  Think I'll take a drive and find a St Patty's celebration.   Will take plenty of green beads with me.   Starting to snow though.    UGH!  When is Spring coming?

Should be back about 10 oclock.

And IMHO, that's a good thing.  Never been a fan but I don't judge those who like them.

That is all.

Yesterday, but I wasn't up to posting one-handed.    The irony kills me.

A young woman at work made a bad choice in handling a forklift, and ended up with a three-way battle between a heavy steel building beam, the forklift, and her hand.  Her hand lost the battle, of course.  They had to scrape and scrub pieces of her hand off of the beam and forklift later...  I had to review the accident.  I'm still a little nauseous after the review.

edit: my new avatar, after the operation, before the full cast next week,

By the time the cast comes off, I'll have spent 5 months dealing with a simple broken wrist.  I'll have an excellent chance of a full recovery.  My co-worker?  Not so much.  I'd heard she spent nearly 18 hours in surgery with a team of doctors working in shifts to save as much as possible.  Mine was only 7 hours (one surgeon), for comparison.

I have to tell someone I love something horrible that's been done to them and I have to find a way to fix it.

Weekend in the cardiac ICU.  $25,000 a day, and all they did was an echocardiogram.  They gave me ONE beta blocker.  I finally said, "Look, if you aren't going to do anything, or let me speak with a doctor, I'm going home.  I can lay in bed there, and eat shitty food, for a lot less than $25K a day."  So they kicked me to the curb.  'Murcia.

In Canada they would have done all that for nothing outside of your taxes  ;D

Yes, but the Koch brothers and GOP say that is socialism.  America is the only first world country without universal healthcare, and we suffer greatly because of it.
