My mother had that potato masher. The pan she used for mashing the potatoes was used so hard the bottom.was almost pushed out. My sister has those and a few other utensils of hers on her kitchen wall.

I recognize 49, and the one I didn't is tickling something in the back of my memory. I think it will come to me later.

When I was a new driver I pulled into a service station and asked for 25¢ worth of gas (more than once). Paid with a quarter and got a penny back in change.

We have, and still use, a potato peeler and masher. And a slow cooker.

Remember the Gulf commercial with the kid who spent all his money on a chrome plated accelerator pedal shaped like a foot? He ordered 25¢ of Good Gulf and felt embarrassed as the station attendant checked his oil, water, air, and cleaned his windshield.

Attendant: Anything else?
Kid: Yes. 25¢ more of Good Gulf.

Wow, you two really are old.        25¢       You're not even talking about cost per gallon, are you?  You're talking about a fill-up?

Gas was about 25¢ a gallon when I was a kid.  You could not fill up the car for that, but you could get home.

Assuming "when I was a kid" to be 1988, the average gas price at that time was $0.90. It didn't break the $2.00 barrier until I was in graduate school.
